Assalamualaikum.....
Sabtu 15 Nov 2008....First day second trip gi London...byk tempat nak lawat sebenarnya...dah rancang hampir sebln lepas...siap wat tentatif lagi....aku gi ngan 2 lagi family...tapi disebabkan byk kekangan spt siang pendek...jem lagi...hari pertama ni dapat lah jugak lawat beberapa tempat yg aku rasakan menarik....dan dapat dikongsi bersama...
Kami bertolak dari Birmingham sekitar jam 9pg...perjalanan ke destinasi pertama amik masa kira2 2jam setengah, campur tolak cari tempat, cari parking..so,dlm 11lebih sampai ler kat destinasi pertama...Greenwich Prime Meridian....akupun taktau sgt tempat apa...tapi setelah lawat dan diberitahu...dapat ler gambaran serba sedikit apa tu Prime Meridian ni...
Rupanya Greenwich Prime Meridian ni tempat dimana longitude(garis tegak)nya 0 degree...ada beberapa tempat kat dunia ni terletak betul2 atas garisan tu, antaranya tempat yg aku pegi ni ler...ni ler website yg aku tgk serba sedikit pasal greenwich ni... http://wwp.greenwichmeridian.com/
"What is the Meridian Line?
The Meridian Line is an imaginary line which runs from the North Pole to the South Pole. By international convention it runs through "the primary transit" instrument (main telescope) at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich.
It is known at Zero Longitude and it is the line from which all other lines of longitude are measured. This includes the line that runs 180° away from Greenwich also known as the International Date Line.
There have been many meridian lines during the course of history including 9 lines at Greenwich!
The Ordnance Survey maps started in England before the current meridian line was defined. New editions of the Explorer series maps do feature the Greenwich Meridian Line. The Ordnance Survey website has a description of the history of meridian lines."
